Scrap Vehicle Recycling

Why recycle scrap vehicles?

Our scrap vehicle recycling service is just one of the recycling solutions that we offer. When sent to one of our Authorised Treatment Facilities, vehicles are dismantled and recycled in an environmentally friendly way.

The various parts and materials in the vehicle, such as steel, aluminium, rubber, and plastic, are separated and recycled, helping to conserve natural resources and reduce the amount of waste that ends up in landfills.

Scrap vehicle recycling process

At E. J. Shanley & Son, we are able to recover and recycle End-of-Life Vehicles (ELVs) at both our Trowbridge and Warminster sites as they are both registered Authorised Treatment Facilities.

Every scrap vehicle that arrives at  one of our facilities will be de-polluted before the car can be recycled.

We depollute the vehicle using the most recent de-pollution technology. Once the vehicle has been through this process it is then put through our metal shredder where it is shredded into small pieces.

Upon arriving at either site, all you will need to provide is the Vehicle Registraion Document (V5) form and photo ID.

As a licensed ATF, we will provide you with a Certificate of Destruction for your vehicle. This informs the DVLA that we have disposed of your vehicle correctly.
