With E. J Shanley & Son (Trowbridge) making extensive investment into the recycling industry with the purchase of a Kiverco picking Station and Feeder Trummel enabling our team of operatives to recycle and reuse more of the waste that hits our waste transfer station.
We recycle substantial amounts of cardboard every year. This enables us to offer competitive prices to our customers.
Cardboard can be loaded loosely into a skip or roll on roll off container or for those that only have a small amount can delivered into our recycling centre loose either as segregated waste or as part of a mixed load.
This is then sorted and prepared for the next stage of the recycling process.

Green Waste is biodegradable waste such as bushes and shrubs, tree stumps, grass cuttings, tree cuttings etc.

This is then sorted and prepared for green waste recycling and composting.

Both sites have machinery capable of dealing with every metal material from large bulky items such as steel, shearing or complete cars down to small off cuts of copper pipe, aluminium or brass.
Metal items are then separated , sorted and prepared for the next stage of the recycling process.
For more information on scrap metal recycling please see our scrap metal recycling page.
Plastic waste can be segregated as a single waste stream or as part of a mixed load. This includes plastic bottles, UPVC windows or guttering.
Plastic can be sorted separately into skips or roll on roll off containers or delivered into the Waste Transfer Site as part of a segregated load or a mixed load.
Plastic are then manually and mechanically separated ready for bulking and the next stage or the recycling process.
Plasterboard should be segregated into a single waste stream to prevent contamination to other materials. This can be in skip or roll on roll off containers or delivered to directly to site.
Plasterboard is then sorted and prepared for delivery to gypsum recycling sites where it is produced back into plasterboard.
